Visit to the UK
In January 2019, it was St Peter’s turn to host our project colleagues when they visited us in the UK. During the week they stayed in Canterbury and from there explored the city as well as visiting Maidstone, London and the school. The children carried out a team work exercise building a strong shelter with some of our Year 6 class. Staff from the four schools also worked together on developing the restorative practices ideas that have run through the project.
St Peter’s is smaller than the other schools involved in the project and our visitors found it interesting to experience a small village primary school. It was also good to see friends that had met on previous visits reunited. Children overcame language barriers remarkably well and enjoyed meeting their peers from other countries.
